The Orono Police Department works in partnership with other community organizations in an effort to solve problems, assist victims and work hand in hand with the community. If you or someone you know have been the victim of a crime, here are some resources that may be of help.

If you are the victim of a crime and need immediate assistance, call 911. For reported offenses that are non-emergency situations you can call Hennepin County Dispatch at 952-258-5321. Any administrative questions or other concerns regarding the Orono Police Department, please call 952-249-4700.

Domestic Violence Statistics

  • Women between the ages of 15 and 44 are injured more by domestic violence than muggings, car accidents, and rapes combined
  • Roughly 2 million women are beaten or abused each year in the US. Some speculate it could be as many as 4 million
  • Approximately 26% of victims are male.
