Leaf & Grass Drop-Off

The Orono Public Works Department offers leaf & grass drop off at the Brush Site located at 245 McCulley Road.  The site will have a designated area for leaves and grass.  Please remember to take your bags! 

Wood Chips and Compost

Please be considerate of other residents when picking up mulch. Limit one trailer pick up a day.
Wood chips and mulch are available during spring, summer and fall for Orono residents.  They are available for pick up at the Brush Site. Self-serve. These are not refilled during weekends.

Brush Site  

Residents may drop off their tree branches and brush at the Orono Brush site located on McCulley Road (Between Bayside Road & Wolverton Place or Deborah Drive) . Fees applicable for larger loads.

Buckthorn Weed Wrench Rental

The City has Buckthorn weed wrenches available to Orono residents a for $20 deposit (refunded when the wrench is returned) at the Public Works building. You can reserve a wrench by calling 952-249-4686. Applications are available at the Public Works building when you pick up the wrench. Wrenches can be reserved for one week at a time. Before digging, contact Gopher State One Call at 651-454-0002.
